Status
As of now, plushie commissions are closed, but they will be open very soon!
WARNING! I have an Australian cattle dog who loves to check in on my work! Unfortunately, he sheds a lot, so it is not recommended that you commission a plushie from me if you are allergic to dog hair!
I create custom plushies from scratch! Note that you may only commission up to 2 plushies at a time.
The Plushie Process
step 1: The Plushie Ref
  • You will first pay $10 for a sketched proof of concept reference sheet designed for your plushie.
  • I will tweak the reference sheet as requested in order to fit the posed you want.
  • I cannot do gradient colors for any part of your plushie.
  • You may request other positions other than sitting so long as those positions are also symmetrical. I cannot guarantee that I can do every position.
  • Asymmetrical characters are allowed.
  • The maximum dimensions for your plushie is 10"x10"x10".
  • If you would not like to continue the commission before or when I send you the reference sheet, you can be refunded 50% of the price of the proof of concept drawing (the same percentage for refunds for sketches according to my terms of service). After you approve of the sketch, I will begin the final draft and you cannot be refunded for the reference sheet.
  • You may not offer me a reference sheet to base your plushie on, as plushies are done in my style. Attempting to copy my style in order to make a reference sheet is also not allowed.
  • Upon receiving approval of this reference sheet, I will send you a form so you can send the rest of the necessary details for your plushie!
Step 2: The Materials
Your plushie will be separated into parts:
Base
The main body of your character
  • You must choose between fleece and minky fabric for your plushie base! It is recommended that you visit a fabric or craft shop to see the difference between these fabrics, however, in my experience, minky is a lot less available in in-person stores. Fortunately, practically every plushie (especially those of copyrighted characters) uses minky fabric, so it's easy to see the difference there.
  • Fleece typically ranges from $5 to $10 per yard, making it the cheaper option for plushies.
  • Minky typically ranges from $8 to $15, with shipping costs making it more costly. However, minky is incredibly soft and typically used for plushies.
  • If I cannot find a color of fabric for your plushies, I will have to choose an alternative. I will let you know whether or not a color for your plushie is available before you pay for the proof of concept reference sheet.
  • I can offer felt for specific small areas of the plushie, but not the entire plushie.
  • You may request other types of fabric in order to achieve the look you want (ie. sherpa fleece for sheep). However, do so with the knowledge that I may not be able to find that fabric.
Markings
Any small markings on your character, as well as the facial features
  • If your character contains small markings, these will be either embroidered by hand or appliqued on your plushie!
  • If you want applique, you must choose whether you want regular and/or stiff felt.
  • You may choose both options so long as you specify where you want the embroidered and appliqued markings to be.
  • In both cases, you will be charged per individual color, potentially multiple times, if necessary. I will let you know beforehand if this is the case.
  • By default, the eyes and nose count as markings. You may request for these to be part of the base instead, provided they are not incredibly thin. (ie. a nose or eye that is one small dot must be a marking) For now, mouths will always be a marking.
Stuffing
  • By default, your plushie will be stuffed with polyfill. Polyfill is made with recycled polyester, so it is hypoallergenic!
  • If any part of your plushie needs to be weighted, you will also be charged for poly-pellets. These are polyester pellets that have a bit more weight so you can have floppy ears, dragging tails, etc.
Other
  • If you would like attaching parts, you may request Velcro or magnets.
  • For the thread used to sew the plushie, I will typically charge you per color in order to match the thread to the colors of your plushie and make it much more hidden. However, if you would like less thread colors or if you would like specific thread colors, you may request them.
  • As of now, I do not offer 3D accessories or clothing. I will update this page once those become options!
Step 3: The Pricing
Upon choosing your materials, you will receive an exact rundown of what the costs of making your plushie are! Here is an estimate of all of the material and work hour costs. Anything not listed here will be estimated upon request.
The price of your plushie will not change at any point in the commission process UNLESS you request specific changes that require more materials or time.

Step 4: The 3D Model
  • I will create a 3D model based on the reference sheet.
  • Minor tweaks to the position can be made, but you must completely redo the commission from step 1 if you would like a different position.
  • This 3D model is used to create the pattern.
  • By commissioning me, you will not have ownership of the 3D model nor the pattern created from it.
  • Once you approve of this, the plushie will start to be made!
